Philippine blockchain-startup Coins.ph announced the start of cooperation with the payment corporation Western Union. The fruit of their collaboration is the soon-expected transfer service within Western Union through a crypto-wallet startup.
Over 5 million WU users in the Philippines will be able to receive domestic and international transfers. The money will be transferred using Western Union infrastructure, to digital wallets served by a startup. The service offers fast and convenient access to money transfers in urban and remote regions.
“A lot of Filipinos work abroad and regularly send money home. They always need additional payment options, ”explained the head of Coins.ph, the advantages of emergency services.
Service users need to pass a verification, after which they will be able to receive about $ 2000 per month for wallets registered in Coins.ph.
Also, in December last year, the president of Western Union for global money transfers, Odilon Almeida, said that his company would be ready to add support for cryptocurrencies when it deems it to be the right decision.
