Tether will begin to issue stablecoin USDT on Tron blockchain
So announced the developers of the blockchain protocol Tron and the issuer of stablecoin Tether. The result of their collaboration is the early launch of the USDT token in the Tron network. Note: Tether does not move to the Tron network, but expands its capabilities by providing Tron users with a stable coin, maintaining their previous positions. Token launch should take place in the second quarter of the year.

Tether announced a global update of its own project and launch in a new protocol on its website. According to the developers stablecoin, Tether was originally conceived as a tool that does not depend on a particular blockchain. Therefore, in order to achieve mass distribution, after the release of the token on the Bitcoin blockchain and the Omni Layer protocol, the Ethereum version of Tether, compatible with the ERC20 standard, appeared. Now USDT will appear on the Tron network.

The USDT token of the TRC20 standard will be compatible with all protocols and decentralized Tron-based applications. It is assumed that it will increase liquidity on the decentralized exchange and make Tron more accessible to institutional investors.

Tron recently updated its protocol, also focused on institutional investors.
